Deckerville Community Schools announce superintendent candidates

The Board of Education for Deckerville Schools  met last night for a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. to review the interview questions for round one and round two.
Assisting them with the review was Rich Ramsey from the Michigan Association of School Boards. The board selected six candidates to interview next Tuesday and Wednesday, April 25 and 26.
The candidates include:

  • Verle Gilbert, current principal at Hahn Intermediate School, part of Genesee County’s Davison School District;
  • Rhonda Bringard, former teacher and current middle school principal at Caro Community Schools;
  • Mike Joslyn, former principal at Memphis Junior/Senior High School and former superintendent at Caro Community Schools;
  • Matthew Conelly, Deckerville Schools’ current elementary school principal;
  • Sean Wrightman, current middle school principal at Dowagiac Public Schools in west Michigan; and
  • Ryan Eugster, current assistant principal at Croswell-Lexington Middle School.

Gilbert, Bringard and Joslyn will be interviewed on Tuesday, April 25, starting at 5:30 p.m. Connelly, Wrightman and Eugster will be interviewing the day after, also starting at 5:30 p.m.
