Deckerville Community Schools’ board approves pool demolition project

In addition to hosting superintendent candidates for interviews this week, Deckerville Community Schools’ Board of Education approved a bid for a security project at Monday night’s meeting.
With the board approving a bid from Redford Lock Security Systems, the project’s focus will be the district-wide rekeying of school doors. In addition to this bid, the board approved the pool demolition project to the tune of a little under $25,300.
The April 24th meeting also saw the board approving the resignation/retirement of Deborah Woodard, a junior high/senior high school special education teacher.
Though the next regular board meeting is scheduled for May 22 at 7:00 p.m., the board reconvened Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. for the three remaining superintendent candidate interviews.
