Police say they have identified the deceased woman found Sunday near the shore of the Black River along the 2500 block of Strawberry Lane of Port Huron Township.
The woman was reportedly found around 5:30 p.m. with the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office and Port Huron Police responding to the scene. The Port Huron Township Fire Department also responded to help remove the body from the water. The woman has since been identified as a 60-year-old woman from Port Huron who was previously reported missing.
Authorities say that her family has been notified, with an official cause of death to be determined still.
