One dead, another injured after Saturday motorcycle-deer collision in Brockway Twp.

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Brockway Township crash on Saturday night between a motorcycle and a deer resulted in one rider dead and another seriously injured.

On June 3, just before 11:00 pm, St. Clair County deputies were called to Brockway Township for a crash involving a motorcycle. Deputies found upon arrival in the area of Yale Road and Arendt Road, a 2001 Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle carrying two people had collided with a deer.

The male driver, 54-year-old Jody Johnson of Brockway Township, was pronounced deceased on scene. The 51-year-old female passenger, also from Brockway Township, was transported to McLaren Lapeer with serious injuries.

The St. Clair County accident investigation team was called to the scene and the investigation is ongoing. Yale PD, Tri Hospital EMS and Brockway Township fire assisted at the scene.
