Tuscola County Sheriff Deputy Kyle Bischer found himself in hot pursuit while trying to make a traffic stop on June 6.
The department reported last Thursday, June 15, that the incident occurred on Tuesday, June 6 when Deputy Bischer, assigned to Vassar Township, attempted to make a traffic stop on Swaffer Road near Hess Road in Vassar Township for a traffic violation.  The suspect vehicle took off at a high rate of speed, heading west on Swaffer Road and failing to stop.
The pursuit went approximately 6 miles.  The Deputy, concerned about the high rate of speed of the suspect (100+) and the suspect failing to stop for stop signs, ended the chase.  Deputy Bischer however continued to investigate the incident, doing numerous interviews and patrolling the area found the suspect vehicle in Millington Twp.  A suspect was developed from the investigation and was found at a Vassar Township residence two days later on Thursday, June 8.
The suspect once again attempted to flee, this time on foot running into a house.  When the suspect attempted to forcefully close the door on deputies, a taser was deployed.  The suspect, a 22-year old Caro man, was taken into custody and lodged on felony flee and elude charges, as well as a charge for reckless driving and two charges for resisting and obstructing.
