In addition to hearing presentations from Blue Water Conservation and the Region VII (7) Area Agency on Aging, the Sanilac County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday, July 18th to approve a non-expiring agreement between the Sanilac County Road Commission and the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office for contractual law enforcement services. The Area Agency on Aging presentation was accompanied by a resolution to support the 2024 Annual Implementation Plan, while the Blue Water Conservation presentation included a funding request. The board also approved the disposal of a 2016 Ford Interceptor from the Sheriff’s Office via auction at Vassar’s Albrecht Auction Service. They also approved the purchase of 15 computer workstations and accompanying software licenses for a little more than $22,000, as well as the purchase of a fingerprint scanner for the Sheriff’s Office, which carries an almost $10,300 price tag.
