A missing 63-year-old Macomb County referee last seen in St. Clair County has returned home after Michigan State Police asked for public assistance in finding him.
Gary Roy Niebauer, 63 years old from Richmond Township, was last seen in Port Huron on Sunday, August 20 around 11:30 AM, and was reported missing earlier Monday morning. Niebauer is known across Macomb, St. Clair and Genesee counties for umpiring baseball, and refereeing multiple sports, including volleyball.
However, shortly after 1:00 p.m. on August 21, state police updated the public with the news that the missing man had returned home, and thanked those who helped in the search efforts.
