Bad Axe Police Chief Shawn Webber reports that a stolen vehicle has been recovered and the suspected thief has been taken into custody.
Yesterday, August 30, Bad Axe Police, working in conjunction with Bridgeport Township Police, recovered a 2007 Ford Edge which had been reported stolen from Bad Axe earlier this month, on August 17. The vehicle was found and recovered in Bridgeport Township.
The suspect, a 23-year-old Caro man, was taken into custody on an unrelated warrant and lodged at the Tuscola County Jail.
Detective Sergeant Kevin Knoblock and Officer Derek Joy conducted further investigation, with charges to be submitted to the Huron County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
The suspect’s name is being withheld as charges are pending.
