A 61-year-old Tuscola County man was arrested by Michigan State Troopers yesterday evening after pointing a crossbow at a 21-year-old man.
Around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, Troopers with the Caro branch were dispatched to Gagetown for a malicious destruction of property and felonious assault complaint.
Troopers contacted the 21-year-old male victim, who had had his vehicle damaged by the suspect, the suspect having thrown something at it as the 21-year-old drove away from a Gagetown business. A few minutes later, as the younger man drove past the suspect’s residence, the suspect was armed with a crossbow in his front yard, aiming at the moving vehicle.
After interviewing witnesses, troopers obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s home, finding the crossbow and other evidence. The 61-year-old suspect was arrested and lodged at the Tuscola County Jail pending formal charges and arraignment in the 71B District Court.
