With the end of summer harvests coming in and many people putting out produce to sell, the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office wants the community to be aware of ongoing thefts from roadside stands’ money boxes.
Earlier this week, the sheriff’s office alerted the public that the office has received several reports of money box theft, with even more incidents only being posted about on social media.
The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office noted via social media that similar incidents are happening across Lapeer County, telling their community that “If your box was broken into please call 810-667-0292 and report it! Our deputies will take all the information and camera footage if you have it.”
