Sanilac County Historical Society kicks off fall with Creepy Baby Doll Contest

Starting tomorrow, the Sanilac County Historical Society will be accepting entries for their annual Creepy Baby Doll Contest.
The community is invited to submit creepy baby dolls to the contest by bringing them to the Museum Tuesday – Friday from 11am – 4pm, beginning September 12. To qualify for the contest, dolls should be received at the Museum before October 12, but will be accepted any time.
Dolls with a high creep factor are most encouraged. Think creepy, old dolls or newer dolls that have been artificially creeped out. All dolls will be (gladly) returned to their owners once the contest winners are announced.
The community is invited to view the creepy baby dolls on the following days/times:

  • October 13 from 8-10pm, with your paid admission to the Adults Only Haunted Village Party;
  • October 14 and 21 from 7-9pm, with your paid admission to the Haunted Village and
  • October 13, 20, and 27 from 1-4pm at no charge.

Additional viewing days/times may be available by contacting the office at 810.622.9946. Visitors can cast a vote for their favorite (or perhaps least favorite) doll by placing a dollar bill in that doll’s corresponding jar.
All votes/donations will be used to support the Historical Society. The doll with the most money in its jar will be deemed the creepiest in all the land. First through third place ribbons will be awarded to the top three shiver-inducing dolls.
