Last week saw a lot of action by the St. Clair County Drug Task Force, who wrapped up two investigations and made multiple arrests.
On Wednesday, September 20, DTF agents executed a search warrant in the 1200 Block of Palmer Court. The warrant was the result of an investigation into the sales of narcotics in the Port Huron area, and the second one to take place involving this address this summer.
Before the warrant was executed Wednesday evening, the investigation’s subjects, Cory Leich and Kathryn Aboussouan, were located and arrested as they were exiting Kohls in Fort Gratiot, with heroin and packaging materials located during a search of the two.
The search warrant was then executed at the Palmer Court address in Port Huron, with officers detaining a 47-year-old resident at the home and finding methamphetamine, packaging and a scale. The 47-year-old resident will be charged; however, they were released due to medical issues.
Aboussouan was arraigned on the charge of possession with intent to deliver heroin/fentanyl, while Leich was arraigned on the charge of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. Both were given $25,000 bonds and are currently lodged at St. Clair County Jail.
The Drug Task Force also concluded its investigation into the sale of narcotics in the 900 block of White Street in Port Huron, also on September 20.
Two houses were identified during this investigation, with search warrants obtained and executed at those addresses by St. Clair DTF and a Special Response Team.
A total of thirteen individuals were detained at the two addresses, with agents finding that the two target individuals were 17-year-old juveniles from Muskegon, Michigan. A search of the addresses revealed scales, narcotics, large amounts of U.S. currency, and drug paraphernalia.
Two females were lodged on unrelated arrest warrants. The two juveniles were released due to lack of juvenile housing. Charges will be sought for possession with intent to deliver narcotics on both of them.
