Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office and police departments prepare for Drug Take Back Day October 28

The Sanilac Drug Task Force, along with the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office and your local City/Village Police Departments are participating in the DEA Drug Take back initiative taking place on October 28th from 10am-2pm.
Dropboxes will be in the lobbies of the following locations: the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office’s entrance, Marlette City Hall, the Deckerville Healthcare Center, Peck Village Hall, Brown City Police Department/City Hall and Lexington’s Village Office.
The Sanilac Drug Task Force will also be happy to do a NO-CONTACT pick up of those drugs for disposal from your residence as well year round by calling 810-648-4580. Please call in advance to arrange these accommodations.
The Sanilac Drug Task Force reported earlier this year that previous efforts yielded almost 246 lbs of discarded medicine.
All prescription medications collected are turned over to the D.E.A. for proper and safe disposal. The agencies thank all who participate in this event.
