road-work-2

Starting Monday, October 9, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close St. Clair County’s M-29 from Bree Road to Clinton Avenue to complete concrete patches and replace the CSX Railroad crossing in the city of St. Clair.
During the work, M-29 will be detoured via Bree Road, St. Clair Highway, King Road, and Fred Moore Highway.
Expected to end by October 30, this project is part of an overall $965,000 investment to improve 1.6 miles of M-29, including sidewalk ramp improvements compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The work will also improve the railroad crossing and driving surface of M-29.
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support nearly 14 jobs.
