Motorist running red lights on school buses prompts enforcement crackdown in Unionville-Sebewaing School District

With a recent  uptick in reported cases of a motorist running the red lights of school buses, Michigan State Police Troopers at the Caro Post are teaming up with local county sheriffs for traffic enforcement.
Unionville-Sebewaing Area School District (USA) in particular have reported multiple violations by motorists. These reports have prompted local law enforcement to begin a special bus enforcement detail on Thursday, October 2.
Violators should also know busses are equipped with video and an officer, deputy, trooper can issue a citation upon completing an investigation. The fine for running the red lights of a school bus starts at $315 plus 3 points added to their driver’s license; however, the real cost could be a child losing their life!
Via press release, MSP 1st Lt. Brian McComb made it clear that there will be zero tolerance for these violations.
