North Branch woman crosses center line, crashes into other car during Saturday accident in Marlette Twp.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in a Saturday afternoon crash in Sanilac County’s Marlette Township, sheriff’s deputies report.
Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a call just before 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, reporting a two-vehicle head-on crash in the 3700 block of Van Dyke Road in Marlette Township. Deputies were dispatched to the scene with Marlette Police and Fire departments, Marlette EMS and Sanilac EMS.
Initial investigation determined that a 39-year-old North Branch woman had been traveling north on Van Dyke Road in her 2008 Jeep Wrangler when she crossed the center line and crashed head on into a southbound 2013 Dodge Durango. The Durango was being driven by a 42-year-old Brown City woman, and carried a passenger, a 22-year-old Brown City man.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this crash. It was not shared if transport by EMS to local or out of area hospitals was required at the scene. Deputies were assisted on scene by Michigan State Police’s Caro and Lapeer Posts, and the Michigan State Police Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit.
Names are being withheld, as this is an ongoing investigation.
