Sanilac County Sheriff Paul Rich thanks participants and instructors of last Tuesday’s Ladies Self Defense Class, with the sheriff’s office seeing a fully booked first event.

In partnership with the Sanilac Area Violence Elimination Council (S.A.V.E.), local deputies Matt Gezequel and Jennifer Deiotte led the November 21st session. This event sought to provide information on personal safety topics such as increasing awareness and avoiding dangerous situations, with participants gaining hands-on experience in escape techniques and self defense.

Sheriff Rich would like to thank everyone who was able to attend this class and expects other classes like it to be provided in the future. Sheriff Rich would also like to give thanks to the Sanilac Area Violence Elimination Council for partnering for this class.
