police-lights-2-2

Tuscola County deputies and a very tenacious citizen were able to reclaim a travel trailer stolen yesterday, December 5.
On Tuesday, officers were dispatched to an Elmwood Township address after the homeowner reported his travel trailer being stolen. The owner was alerted of the theft when security cameras were activated and showed the suspects in the act. After calling 911, the citizen quickly returned home to see his trailer being hauled away and began to follow the suspects.
When Deputy Chris Whetstone arrived in the area, the homeowner backed off his pursuit and let the officer take the pursuit from there. The deputy pursued the trailer and the truck pulling it all the way to Unionville, where the suspects finally stopped and were arrested.
The driver, a 22-year-old Midland man, was arrested for larceny and fleeing police, with the passenger,a 20-year-old Bay City woman, also arrested at the time
