A 91-year-old Port Huron woman was found safe Saturday morning after being last seen the previous afternoon.
Ila Zeplzauer had left her home in the 800 block of Division Street around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, December 8, with it being believed she walked away from her residence using a walker and may have headed towards Kroger on 24th Street.
With Port Huron Police calling for public help early Saturday morning, the woman was reported safe almost three hours later. Around 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, police announced that Zeplzauer was found safe at a local hotel, thanking residents for their assistance.
The Port Huron Police Department’s Volunteers in Policing and the St. Clair County Office of Emergency Management along with the Port Huron Fire Department assisted with the search efforts to locate Ila.
