Carsonville – Port Sanilac Schools Elementary Principal, Jennifer Richmond, was selected as the Region 10 Principal of the Year by the leadership of the (MEMSPA) Michigan elementary and Middle Schools Principals Association.
Principal Richmond, currently in her 11th year as the CPS Elementary School Principal, was recognized earlier this month at the Leadership Awards Banquet at the annual conference.
While Superintendent Doug Muxlow praised Richmond, calling her the “glue behind what happens at CPS,” Richmond went on to praise her staff and district, saying while she was honored, her selection was made possible by her team’s continuous efforts to improve the education and lives of students.
Currently serving as elementary principal, superintendent designee, title coordinator and basketball coach, Richmond has also held the title of Assistant Principal, and High School Principal. She recently completed her Education Specialist degree in Leadership and is planning to continue her education in the future.
