Some St. Clair County residents might have felt tremors yesterday from a small earthquake originating in Canada.
The Canadian Department of Natural Resources reported that the 2.5 magnitude earthquake originated in Corunna Township in Ontario, about eight miles south of Sarnia and across the St. Clair River from Marysville.
The earthquake reportedly caused light shaking but no damage, shortly before 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27.
