Lapeer County’s Dryden Township is proud to introduce their new fire chief, Jim Stevenson.
Chief Stevenson brings 27 years of experience to the community, having served with the fire departments of Warren, Royal Oak and West Bloomfield, with special experience on the Hazardous Materials and Technical Rescue Teams. He also served as a Search Team Manager during his five years as a member of the Michigan Task Force One.
In addition to publishing work in the international fire service magazine, Fire Engineering, Chief Stevenson holds an associate degree in Fire Science from Macomb Community College and a master’s degree in public administration from CMU. The chief is a recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University’s School of Fire Staff and Command Executive Leadership Program.
Joining him in Dryden Township is his wife of 18 years, Kathie, and his two children, Daniel and Hope.
