The Port Huron Police and Port Huron Fire Department are taking their rivalry to the ice for a charity fundraiser this month.
After a hiatus of 10 years, the Battle of the Badges Charity Hockey Game is returning on Friday, February 23, at the McMorran Place Arena in Port Huron.
Proceeds will be going to The Arc of St. Clair County, an organization that provides support and advocates for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
The game begins at 7:00 p.m. with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door, with kids ages three and under admitted for free. In addition to supporting a good cause, attendees can enjoy chuck-a-puck and a teddy bear toss during the game.
No matter which Port Huron agency comes out on top in the game, the police and fire departments hope you come out and help support a county non-profit providing valuable service to the community.
