The Sanilac County Historic Village and Museum is proud to announce dates for their 2024 Open Mic Series at the Carriage Barn Stage this summer.
From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the following dates, performers can sign up and perform under the museum’s Events Tent at 228 S Ridge Street in Port Sanilac. Open mics will be held on May 11th, June 29th, July 20th and August 17th. With the July 20th performance set during the museum’s Agricultural/Farmer’s Weekend and the August 17th open mic to take place during the Hunting, Fishing and Marine Days, the organizers encourage performers to bring themed music for the occasions.
Local performers of all genres, ages, abilities and instruments are welcome to sign up, with individual performers allowed to play two songs and duos/groups allowed to play three songs. Sign-up for the open mics begins at 3:30 p.m. the day of and is limited to the first twelve performers who sign up.
The museum would like to thank Quad Productions for donating their sound equipment and time for quality audio during the event. They also note that, in case of inclement weather, individual open mic events may be canceled. Though this is a free event, donations to the museum and historical society would be gratefully accepted.
