Croswell city council to welcome two new officers by the end of 2024, addresses air quality concerns

croswell-2-2

The Croswell City Council met this past Tuesday to discuss potential police force candidates and to assure the community regarding air quality concerns.
Council members were pleased to announce that the city recently offered two individuals future police force positions. The candidates will be entering the police academy in the near future with plenty of promise, according to City Administrator David Tait.
“We’re gonna probably have both of them sitting on the force by the end of the year,” Tait said at Tuesday’s meeting.
In addition, the council received five bids for the city’s Solid Waste Disposal & Recycling Collection. The low bid from Jeff’s Rubbish Disposal out of Emmett was ultimately selected with a three-year contract being outlined. Over the last few weeks, Tait explained that he had also been in contact with several state agencies regarding air quality concerns expressed at the January 16 city council meeting. The results of these meetings have since declared that there was (and continues to be) no possible hazard.
The next city council meeting is scheduled for April 1, 2024, at 7:30 p.m.
