A member of the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Posse was recognized last weekend during the Michigan Horse Expo.
The posse was invited to Lansing to take part in a color presentation and uniform inspection on Saturday, March 9, with Sanilac County posse members among over 58 mounted division members from police and sheriff offices across the state. The color presentation and uniform inspection required the posse to be on horseback and in full dress uniform.
In addition to the honor of being invited, the posse is proud to share that Sanilac County Posse Commander Jared Stull received a 4th place trophy for his uniform inspection.
The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Posse is a volunteer group within the sheriff’s office made up of highly dedicated members of the community. The posse is involved in functions ranging from search and rescue operations to helping out during community events, such as the Sanilac County Fair.
