Due to the project’s second phase, beginning next Monday, April 8, M-46 in Sandusky will be closed from Maple Valley/Dawson St to M-19 to through traffic.
While it does coincide with the existing M-46 detour, this closure is being implemented to allow the city’s contractor to continue working on the water main project. All businesses are open during the project, despite the detours. Local traffic will be maintained on M-46 from Maple Valley and Dawson Streets to M-19 in the westbound direction only.
The detour for through traffic will be North Elk Street to Argyle Street to Dawson Street back to M-46. Northbound and southbound traffic through the M-19 and M-46 intersection will be maintained. A map of the detour can be seen below:
