A 41-year-old Port Huron man was arrested Tuesday after stabbing a man at the City Limits Tavern.
The altercation occurred at the Conner Street business on April 16, between two men, a 28-year-old Kimball Township man and a 41-year-old Port Huron man. After the fight, the 41-year-old left the bar before returning shortly thereafter with a knife.
Now armed with the weapon, the 41-year-old fought the 28-year-old man again, this time stabbing him multiple times before fleeing. He was caught only a short distance from the bar.
The victim was transported to McLaren Hospital and later to a Metro Detroit hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 41-year-old is scheduled to appear in the 72nd District Court on Thursday, April 18, on charges of assault with intent to commit great bodily harm. The Port Huron Police Department Road Patrol and Criminal Investigative Division continue to investigate this incident.
