A Friday evening farm accident saw a Greenwood Township man killed after being run over by his tractor.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies were dispatched with Fire and EMS to the 8000 block of Logana Road in Greenwood Township on Friday, May 24 after a 57-year-old man was reported unresponsive by his 23-year-old son.
Investigation determined that the 57-year-old had been tilling a field when he fell from and was run over by the tractor he was operating. Though Tri-Hospital EMS transported the man to McLaren Port Huron, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the case.
