The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office also reports that two drivers were injured during a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday.
Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a call reporting a two-vehicle injury crash shortly before 6:00 a.m. on May 28, with deputies, Marlette EMS and the Brown City Fire Department dispatched to the scene on Galbraith Line Road in Maple Valley Township.
Investigation found that a 36-year-old man from Melvin had been westbound on Galbraith Line Road in his 2012 Ford Fusion when he disregarded the stop sign at Maple Valley Road and struck a southbound 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. The Silverado was being driven by a 54-year-old Brown City man, with both drivers reporting injuries.
Both were treated at the scene before transport to McLaren Lapeer for further treatment. The accident remains under investigation.
