The St. Clair County Health Department (SCCHD) has cancelled the swimming advisories for Keewadhin Beach in Fort Gratiot and Holland Beach in Port Huron, with bacteria levels indicating the beaches are now safe for swimming.
Swimming advisories were originally put in place for Keewahdin Beach on Wednesday, May 29 and for Holland Beach on Thursday, May 30 due to elevated E. coli bacteria test results. Daily water samples were collected at the affected beaches and E. coli tests now show results are within the acceptable water quality range as advised by the State of Michigan.
