Several locations around the Thumb were battered by last night’s storm, with Sanilac County’s city of Marlette and Tuscola County’s Caro seeing multiple power outages, according to DTE.
The Marlette Police Department noted to citizens yesterday evening that the storm had damaged some homes with trees; however, there were no injuries reported. The storm also reportedly closed several of Marlette’s streets, including Doyle Street between Chard and Angle streets; Angle Street between Main and Fenner streets; and Lamotte Street between Marlette and Little streets.
As streets are cleared and tree branches flung by the storm are removed, the city of Marlette is asking residents to please place down tree limbs and branches along the street and not in the street for pick up. DTE is on location addressing the down power lines.
