The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office shared that a Tuesday morning bicycle crash injured a 54-year-old Carsonville man.
Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a call around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, reporting a motorized bicycle personal injury crash on Lakeshore Road near Sheridan Line Road in Worth Township. Deputies, along with Croswell EMS and the Lexington Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene.
Investigation found that the 54-year-old was traveling south on the shoulder of Lakeshore Road with his motorized bicycle when the bike had an equipment malfunction, throwing the man from his bike and causing multiple injuries. He was treated on scene by Lexington Fire and Croswell EMS before being transported to Port Huron McLaren for further treatment.
The rider was not wearing a helmet during the crash and the accident remains under investigation by the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office.
