The summer heat did not slow down the St. Clair County Drug Task Force, with two investigations concluded and three arrested.

The Drug Task Force concluded an investigation last Tuesday, July 2, into the sales of narcotics, with over $1000 worth of methamphetamine being located, with investigators also finding cocaine. After the task force’s investigation, 48-year-old Patricia Fox of Port Huron is charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a felony punishable up to 20 years.

William Paret, 38 years old of Eastpointe, was also arrested, and is charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a felony punishable up to 20 years and possession of cocaine, a felony punishable up to 4 years.

The DTF continued their efforts the following day, Wednesday, July 3, with the arrest of 29-year-old Eric Talton of Detroit. Members of the Drug Task Force attempted to first arrest Talton at a Qdoba restaurant, where he fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit Talton was taken into custody in front of the Texas RoadHouse, with Talton throwing 18.5 grams of cocaine onto the roof of the Red Lobster and 1.8 grams of crack cocaine on the roof of the Texas Roadhouse during the foot pursuit. Both were recovered.

A search of Talton’s person after arrest also led to the seizure of $1,020 dollars in cash. Talton was taken to St. Clair County Detention and Intervention Center where he is being held on a $50,000 bond. He is charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, tampering with evidence, resisting and obstructing, and maintaining a drug house.
