A Marlette man pleaded guilty in Tuscola County Circuit Court last Monday for operating while intoxicated and fleeing from police in the fourth degree.

30-year-old Nathan William Ross was arrested by the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office earlier this year on April 21, and arraigned on three charges in the county’s district court on June 6, 2024.

The third charge, misdemeanor reckless driving, was ultimately dismissed in exchange for Ross pleading guilty to the felony charge of fleeing and the misdemeanor charge of operating while intoxicated.

Ross will next appear before Tuscola County Circuit Court Judge Amy Gierhart on Wednesday, August 21, at 1:45 p.m. for his sentencing.

For the misdemeanor OWI, Ross faces possible community service of no more than 360 hours, jail time no more than 93 days. and/or a fine not to exceed $500. Meanwhile, fourth-degree fleeing from police could earn him up to two years in jail and/or another fine of no more than $500.
