A 78-year-old Flynn Township woman was found within a half hour of the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office alerting the community of her disappearance last night.
The family of Scharron Kay Ramsey became concerned for her well-being after the 78-year-old had not been seen since an 11:00 a.m. physical therapy appointment at Marlette Hospital on Monday, July 29. Ramsey’s family were particularly worried as she recently had shoulder surgery, and was taking medication that causes memory problems.
The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office was alerted of the missing woman, and in turn alerted the local community around 10:15 p.m. Monday night. By 10:45 p.m., the sheriff’s office was reporting that Ramsey had been found safe, with no details shared of where or how she was found.
Authorities and Ramsey’s family would like to thank any and every person who assisted in finding her.
