Benefiting from some major generosity, the Sanilac County Museum and Historical Village received two donations in June to fund and expand the site’s general operations.
The Lexington Woman’s Life Chapter 927 presented the proceeds of the Women’s Life Insurance Society Quarter Auction, which totaled about $2,698, to museum administrator Dann Finn on Monday, June 10.
Then later that month, on Wednesday, June 19, the museum received a donation from the Sanilac County Community Foundation, specifically the Sarkella Family Fund, of $3,050 to complete the plumbing and bathroom appliances for the Bark Shanty/Aitken House exhibits.
