A motorcyclist is in critical condition following a Saturday night accident in Tuscola County’s Dayton Township.
Michigan State Police at the Caro post were dispatched shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, to the intersection of Hurds Corner Road and M-46, for a two-vehicle injury crash.
Investigation found that a 43-year-old Kingston woman was traveling north on Hurds Corner Road when a 37-year-old Caro man on a motorcycle rear-ended the vehicle. While the woman and her passengers were not injured, the motorcyclist was injured in the collision and taken to an out-of-area hospital. He was listed in critical condition.
A MSP crash reconstructionist responded and processed the scene. Speed is believed to be a factor in this crash. It is unknown if alcohol played a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation by Caro Post troopers.
Troopers were assisted on scene by Kingston Fire, Mayville Ambulance, Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office, and 10 Point Towing.
