The Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office is investigating reports of stolen stop signs at several Arbela Township intersections.
With signs taken from the intersections of Lewis and Millington Roads and Swaffer and Buell Roads, authorities are warning that these thefts are not harmless.
“If this is a prank, it is an extremely dangerous prank,” the sheriff’s office explained in a social media post, adding that the stop signs missing “could easily cause a crash that injures or kills someone.”
If you have any information of who took these stop signs, please contact Tuscola County Sheriff’s Lt. Ted Hull at (989) 673-8161, ex. 2227.
