A Brown City man was arrested last Thursday in Imlay City following an investigation into methamphetamine sales in Lapeer County.
The traffic stop and arrest were conducted by the Thumb Narcotics Unit around 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, at the Imlay City’s Speedway Gas station on Cedar Street. A tip-based investigation led to the arrest of 25-year-old Jonathon W. Gammon of Brown City.
He was arraigned the next day, August 30, in Lapeer County’s 71A District Court on a count of delivery of a controlled substance (specifically, methamphetamine). Nearly 6 grams of suspected meth was seized during the investigation.
Gammon was previously charged with methamphetamine possession and use in 2021, but those charges were dismissed in exchange for him pleading guilty to carrying a concealed weapon and operating while impaired.
Gammon is to appear in court for his probable cause conference on Friday, September 6, at 9:00 a.m.
