The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a false alarm regarding supposed shots at Memphis Junior/Senior High School.
Around 9 am on Monday morning, St. Clair County Central Dispatch received a call about possible gunshots at Memphis Junior/Senior High School. The sound was heard by a parent while a student at the school on a phone call.
The SRO, deputies, and Michigan State Police responded immediately, but it was quickly determined the sound had been lockers slamming shut. After law enforcement confirmed there was no threat at the school, classes resumed for the day.
