The Sanilac County Historical Society is touched by the generous donation of $2,000 by the Port Sanilac Farmers Market, in addition to their annual lease agreement.
“We love being here”, explained Port Sanilac Farmers Market Treasurer Lisa Alexander, with trustee John Norman adding that, “[i]t’s just a great space that is unlike other farmers market venues: with the trees, parking, and historic buildings available for everyone to walk and enjoy their day while visiting the market.”
Sanilac County Historical Society is proud to host the Port Sanilac Farmers Market every Friday, May through October, from 1pm to 5pm, with many additional events scheduled to complement the vendor market. Throughout the summer, there were free concerts at 2:00 p.m. and a children’s story hour at 3:00 p.m.
For October, Farmers Market Fridays will see delicious soup or chili served up, with October 18th to see the ultimate chili taste-off, with the three most popular chilis taking home prizes.
The Historical Society is looking forward to another great year of market Fridays at the museum in 2025.
