57-year-old Port Huron pedestrian in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Friday morning

A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Port Huron this morning.

According to Port Huron Police, the pedestrian was crossing Pine Grove Avenue near Elmwood Street around 7:40 a.m. this morning (Friday, October 18) when they were struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian, a 57-year-old Port Huron resident, was immediately transported to McLaren Port Huron Hospital by Tri-Hospital EMS, before being transferred to McLaren Macomb Hospital, where they are listed in critical condition.

Port Huron Police accident investigators processed the scene, with Pine Grove Avenue temporarily closed for the processing. The involved driver is cooperating with investigators, remaining at the scene following the incident.
