Port Huron Police are saddened to report that the individual involved in the recent October 18 pedestrian-vehicle accident on Pine Grove Avenue has tragically died from their injuries.
According to Port Huron Police, the pedestrian was crossing Pine Grove Avenue near Elmwood Street around 7:40 a.m. the morning of Friday, October 18 when they were struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian, a 57-year-old Port Huron resident, was immediately transported to McLaren Port Huron Hospital by TriHospital EMS, before being transferred to McLaren Macomb Hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.
Port Huron Police accident investigators processed the scene, with Pine Grove Avenue temporarily closed for the processing. The involved driver is cooperating with investigators, remaining at the scene following the incident.
