With almost $106,000 raised, McKenzie Health System is pleased to announce that their digital campaign for October was a success.
McKenzie Health System’s Building Together Digital Campaign aimed to raise funds for a new hospital to better support the Sanilac County community. The fundraising goal for the month was $100,000, which is in addition to the $40,000 raised by the health system at their Autumn Benefit in September.
The construction project, which has been delayed several times, would include a wide entrance for the facility on M-46, a second entrance on Gates Road, and parking lots.
McKenzie Health System is also pleased to announce a generous donation of $8,500 from the McKenzie Auxiliary, which will be used to enhance patient comfort and care at the hospital.
The funds will be applied toward the purchase of vital new equipment, including one transfer chair and three recliner/lift chairs for the Medical/Surgical and Infusion Center departments. The transfer chair, valued at $4,000, will aid in the safe and efficient movement of patients throughout the hospital.
The recliner/lift chairs, totaling $4,500 for three units, will provide comfort and support for patients receiving treatment in the Medical/Surgical and Infusion Center areas, helping to improve their experience during extended stays or procedures.
