The St. Clair County Dive Team assisted the Clay Township Police locate a missing elderly man Monday evening.
Family members reported that the 78-year-old was last seen around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, November 11. When the Dive Team responded to the man’s address on Anchor Bay Drive, they found a broken dock board and other indicators that the missing man was in the water. Divers entered the canal and found the missing man, with authorities pronouncing him deceased at the scene.
The Clay Township Police Department is continuing to investigate.
