The 31st Annual “Michigan’s Original” Lighted Farm Implement Parade is just four weeks away, which means it’s time to gather the team and get ready to capture the spirit of Christmas in Sandusky.

This year’s theme is a “Nostalgic (1950-60s) Christmas,” and there are five divisions competing for trophies, including farm-related businesses, non-farm businesses, service or nonprofit organizations, religious, and community.

The parade will begin on Saturday, December 7, at 7 p.m. at the Sandusky High School, proceeding west to M-19, north on M-19 to M-46, east on M-46, south on Campbell Road, and ending at the Sandusky High School Parking Lot. Parade line up begins at 3 p.m. with judging starting at 6 p.m.

For those participating, please be aware that all entries must be completely lighted and follow the parade theme, no candy or other objects can be thrown from the vehicles or floats, and while decorative Santas are allowed, only one Santa Claus may be provided by the Sandusky Chamber of Commerce.

Registration must be submitted by Friday, December 6, to the Sandusky City Hall or via email to philb@tubbsbrothers.com. Entries can be mailed, faxed or emailed per the instructions on the form.
