St. Clair County Central Dispatch received a report just after 2:30 am Sunday, December 1, of a man lying on the side of Keewahdin Road near Campbell Road from a passerby.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered the man, a 41-year-old Marine City resident, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head. The road remained closed while detectives processed the scene.
The incident is still under investigation, though no foul play is suspected and there is no threat to the public.
