Sanilac County, Mich. –McKenzie Health System is proud to announce that Jenifer Monzo, RN, BAS, CPHRM, Director of Quality and Risk Management, has been appointed to the board of the Healthcare Violence Reduction Center (HVRC) at Lawrence Technological University (LTU). The HVRC, established to address the pressing issue of workplace violence in healthcare settings, held its inaugural board meeting on October 28, 2024.
Jenifer brings extensive experience in quality and risk management to the HVRC. Her leadership at McKenzie Health System has been instrumental in implementing effective strategies to enhance patient and staff safety. In her new role, she will collaborate with healthcare leaders from institutions such as the Michigan Health and Hospital Association Keystone Center, University of Michigan Health-West, University of Michigan Health-Sparrow, Munson Healthcare, Trinity Health Michigan, and Henry Ford Health System. Together, they aim to develop actionable, research-backed solutions to mitigate workplace violence in healthcare environments.
