A 45-year-old man is in jail and a 56-year-old woman is in the hospital following a serious injury crash on Saturday night in Tuscola County.
Caro Post troopers are investigating a serious injury traffic crash that occurred about 10:00 PM on December 14, on Gun Club Road, near Mertz Road in Tuscola County. A 56-year-old Caro woman was walking on Gun Club Road when she was struck by an SUV.
The driver of the SUV, a 45-year-old Vassar man, was not injured, but he was arrested for suspected driving while intoxicated, being lodged at the Tuscola County Jail.
The woman was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. She is expected to survive.
Troopers were assisted by Caro PD, Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office, Caro Fire & Rescue, and MMR.
